Tom Croat, 2005 Esmeraldas Lita-San Lorenzo Road, 1.2 km W of El Durago, 21.1 km W of Alto Tambo. 00*52111MN 078°27106"W 300 m Terrestrial; internodes 1-3 cm long, 2-4 cm diam.; cataphyll fibers persisting; petioles sharply D-shaped, the margins acute, weakly raised, 2 medium ribs present, dark green and semiglossy, weakly ribbed along on side; blades moderately coriaceous, dark green and matte subvelvety above, slightly paler and weakly glossy below; midrib acute and concolorous above, narrowly rounded and paler below; primary lateral veins acute and concolorous above, narrowly rounded and paler below; inflorescence erect; spathe green; spadix bright golden yellow and glossy. 8 July 1998 Thomas B.
