PLANTAS DE VENEZUELA Anthurium subtrilobum Schott Climber 3 m up tree trunk. Stem stout, internodes abbreviated up- ward. Petiole 84 x 1 cm (midpt.), terete but adax. sulcate, vagi- nate 16 cm; geniculum ca. 5 cm long including thickened base of ribs, terete, x 1.5 cm, adax. sulcate. Blade leathery, brittle, glossy both surfaces, adax. dark green, midrib convex x 5 in near base, basal ribs nude to 10 cm in sinus; abax. light green, midrib & veins greenish yellow; 67 cm long, 57 cm wide (across posterior lobes), 28 cm wide across widest point of anterior lobe; poster- ior lobes 38 cm long, sinus 11 cm deep.
