Anthurium scandens (Aubl.) Engl.
Stems to 5 m long, pendent, in great curtain nearly to ground.
Stems gray-light brown. Blade leathery, vaguely glossy adax.,
abax. glaucescent & glossy if rubbed, punctate. Peduncle very
pale green and reddish-dotted. Spathe green, reflexed; tepals
whitish suffused purple & with purple margins; ovary whitish in
center of the 4 tepals, anthers cream turning yellow.
Edo. MERIDA: La Isla, arriba de La Mucuy, 8 km arri-
ba de Tabay, en selva nublada de Podocarpus. Altura
2.300-2.600 m.
