Lower Montane Forest, dominated by Nothofagus, Dacrydium,
Pandanus and Dicksonia. Erect tree, 18 m high; bole 5 m long;
dbh 25 cm. Leaves dark green above, green below. Flowers not
seen. Fruits green maturing to brown. Local name: Dal (Yupna
Language; Informant: Kolongo Tawal). Used for posts and timber
for housing. Field Assistants: Dope Bommi, Kevin Dopeke,
James Bota, Bommi Motra and Kolongo Tawal. Supported by
