Ribes cereum Douglas COLFAX COUNTY Vermejo Park Ranch: slopes 100 meters S and E of summit of farthest north point on Ash Mountain; 3.7 air mi NE of Little Costilla Peak. 36° 51' 52.2" N, 105° 10’ 34.2" W; WGS 84, uncertainty 5 m., GPS reading Southeast-facing mountain slope composed of large andesite boulders and talus, completely unvegetated except for small scattered patches of Picea engelmannii and Pinus aristata, with sparse understory containing Jamesia americana, Holodiscus dumosus, and Ribes spp. Shrubs ca. 1 meter tall; occasional among boulders and under conifers.
