turing, adax. dark green & non-glossy, all ribs & 1«*
strongly elevated V-angular; abax. bl. pale green
with paler ribs; post, lobes nude in sinus 11-12 cm,
sinus 10*5 cm wide varying to post, lobes overlapping
Ped. purplish (pale green with fine red lines), ±
erect, stoutish with an aluiate rib on one side.
Spathe nearly perpendicular to axis of ped., early
erect but spreading-reflexed before anthesis, palest
green suffused pale violet, margins strong violet,
thick-brittle when young & 21 x 8 era, leathery in
age and 29 x 10 cm. Stipe of sx rose-violet, 1 mm
free abax* Spadix not or scarcely oblique basally,
black-purple & glaucous, erect, narrowed upward, to
17«5 x 1*4 cm, infruct. 26 x 2.^ cm* Fruits apically
dome-like, exserted 3 mm* black-violet like the te-
pals; mature frt* elongate ovoid, 7*5-8 x 3*7 mm,
lower part reddish-rust.

m long, subterete but flattened or lightly concave-
channeled adax. with 2 elevated ribs running down
each side, in basal 1/5 with many ribs all around
pet.; x 1.7 cm (midpt.), x 1.2 cm (apex); genic. 6 x
DISTRITO FEDERAL: Fila las Delicias arriba de
Naiguat&, aprox. a mitad de la distancia entre Las
Delicias y la planta electrica (Electricidad de
Caracas), en selva hfcaeda. Alt. ca. 1.000 m.
