Habitat
Rolling to hilly terrain on leached sandy and clay sediments. Deciduous woodland with some savanna species, "cerrado" vegetation, with Attalea phalerata [Scheelea princeps], Astronium, Anadenanthera macrocarpa, Dilodendron bipinnatum, Tabebuia aurea, T. roseo-alba, Curatella americana.

Description
Tree 20 cm. in diameter; bark pale tan, corky, shallowly and irregularly furrowed. Flower buds very pale yellowish and slightly pinkish. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
