MEXICO State of Veracruz Family : ARACEAE Anthurium schlechtendahlii Kunth Sierra San Cristobal, between Ciudad Mendoza and Orizaba, along Highway 150 D (autopista), ca. 3 km SW of Orizaba, S of autopista ca. 1/2 km elev. 1260-1400 m; disturbed for- est on lower slopes, undisturbed forest on upper slopes. Growing on rocks on steep slope; flowering inflorescence immature; fruiting inflores- cences in various stages; fruits red, round at apex, emerging above tepals, frequent on lower and middle slopes.
