Anthurium oerstedlanùm Schott
Along road between San Isidro del General and
coastal town of Dominical SW of San Isidro,
4.8 miles from Rio Pascal; elev. 1000 m.
Remnants of virgin forest along road.
Terrestrial; caudex short to <30 cm long, to
4 cm diameter; cataphyll to ca 12 cm long 1-
ribbed: petiole 49-73 cm long, i square, blunt-
ly square to weakly canaliculate on upper side,
sharply angled on lower side with a medial
blunt rib to 6 mm wide at middle, pulvinus
sharply bent, conspicuously swollen, blade with
long stipe thicker than broad, ca 5 mm wide,
6 mm thick, 3—ribbed upper side dull or weakly
glossy, dark green, bullate between the major
laterals, midrib prominently riased, round
near base, acute toward apex; major laterals
sharply raised, secondarils weakly sunken or
obscure; lower side somewhat paler, weakly
glossy, major veins, minors raised or darker
green; spathe green, at 45° angle spadix green,
pistils weakly exserted.
