Annual graminoid; styles bifid, connate at lower i/3rd; floral scales
2.5 mm long, with mucronate tip, lacking anthocyanic coloration;
achene amber-brown, narrow obovate; bases of stems red; with
Phragmites australis, Lycopus sp., Persicaria sp. and Cyperus
diandrus.
