Plants of the Guiana Shield Fabaceae Swartzia Guyana, Cuyuni-Mazaruni, Pakaraima Mts., Mazaruni River. Base Camp 6. 6° 02' 40"N, 60° 39' 06" W Elev. 501 m. Legume-dominated (Mimosoideae - Papilionoideae - Caesalpinioideae) gallery forest on white sand with large boulders. Tree, 10 m tall. Ants present. Sap clear turning red. Infl. terminal panicle.
