parts of barren clay slopes on the west side
of the Pari a River, just upstream from the
abandoned settlement of Pari a. Twp. J4I S.*
R. 1 W., S. 18, Elevation about I|700 feet.
Leaves solid, subterete, broadly elliptic in
cross-section, except toward the base, where
broadly and shallowly channeled. Perianth
segments with a reddish-lavender midstripe,
otherwise white or nearly so. Crests of the
ovary conspicuous, narrow, about 2 mm. long.
