Calamus gracilis
Stems clustered, 5 m long, 1 cm diameter. Sheaths mottled near
apex, becoming green below, almost non-spiny with a few spines
only in a line below the flagellum, the spines swollen-based but
downward pointing; petioles very short, 0.5 cm long; rachises 45
cm long, dark brown tomentose; pinnae 19 per side, irregularly
arranged, with gaps (younger leaves with more pronounced gaps),
pinnae spinulose adaxially distally, glabrous abaxially; flagella at
every node
