NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN 03746334 Flora of the Paumonek Wetland, Long Island Hemerocallis fulva (L.) L. NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School, on the south side of Jericho Turnpike, about 1 m south of the roadside curb. Scattered in small clumps in light to moderate shade along the roadside. Flowers salmon-orange with a yellow throat. Most plants without flowers or buds (possibly too much shade). In an Oak-Hickory Mesic Woodland with Cichorium intybus, Artemisia vulgaris, Celastrus orbiculatus, Impatiens capensis, and Fallopia japonica. Matthew C.
