Salicaceae Salix petiolaris Sm. det. M. Nee, 2017 WISCONSIN, Taylor Co., 4.5 km N of Perkinstown, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Forest Road 575E, just SW of junction with Forest Road 112. 45°14’47”N, 90°37’07”W. alt. 420 m. T 32 N; R 2 W; NEWK©4 sect. 21. Swamp with Alnus incana ssp. rugosa, Spiraea alba, Salix petiolaris, S. discolor and with only a little Sphagnum and Chamaedaphne calyculata. Shrub 3.5 m. tall with a couple of stems in a tight clump, the largest a dead one 4 cm. in diameter, the wood specimen from stems 1.8-2.2 cm. in diameter, ca. 6 years old.
