Salicaceae Salix bebbiana Sarg, det. M. Nee, 2017 MINNESOTA, Cook Co., 6 km (by air) N of Schroeder, Superior National Forest, along Forest Road 343. 47°35’46”N, 90°54’56”W. alt. 400 m. Swamp forest with Thuja occidentalis, Ainus, Betula alleghaniensis, Abies balsamea, Picea glauca, Salix bebbiana, S. discolor, Sambucus pubens. Treelet, originally ca. 8 m. tall, 18 cm. in diameter, fallen over and with upright branches from which the wood specimen taken from a stem 5.5 cm. in diameter and 12 years old. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw. Staminate; aments bright yellow when in anthesis; see Nee 63541 for a pistillate plant. Coll.: M. H.
