Forest of Picea glauca, Abies balsamea, Populus
tremuloides, with Lonicera canadensis, Sambucus pubens.
Common. Shrubs, sometimes a few stems from base, often
seems to be in diffuse colonies. To 1.5 m. tall (rarely to 2 m.
tall), 1.2 cm. in diameter, 10 years old. Voucher for wood
specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw. Flowers
hanging, pale yellow with some purple on corolla lobes.
