Subtropical, semi-deciduous "Chaco" forest, 4-8 m.
tall, dense, spiny, briefly inundated in the rainy
season, very flat, the soil fine sandy and silty,
Bumelia obtusifolia, Capparis tweediana, Reichen-
bachia hirsuta.
Vine in shrubs. Plant fetid. Calyx and fruit green.
