PLANTS OF ILLINOIS, USA Smilax lasioneura Hook Smilacaceae Det.: S.R. Hill, (ILLS) 2005 KENDALL COUNTY 41° 40’ 2.9” N. Lat. 088° 30’ 52.7” W. Long. Railroad [Burlington Northern RR] rights-of-way, northeast side of Needham Road, 0.3 mile north of US Route 34, Plano. Elevation approximately 198 meters. Very degraded railroad prairie remnant, with Bromus inermis, Galium aparine, Monarda fistulosa, Nepeta cataria, Pastinaca sativa, Poa pratensis, Ribes missouriense, Solidago canadensis, Ulmus pumila. Flowers green; viny climbing herb, stems to 2 meters long; occasional and scattered, leaves mostly immature. Steven R. Hill 36361 16 June 2005 03743799
