Palomar Range, Agua Tibia Wilderness Area, northeastern flank of
Agua Tibia Mountain, Arroyo Seco tributary at the north base of
Eagle Crag, from the Wildhorse Trail east to the main trunk of
Arroyo Seco. T9S R1W Sl/2 Nl/2 sec. 11. Near
116a57'30"W. Elev. ca. 3200 feet.
Chaparral on slopes of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Ceanothus
crassifolius, C. leucodermis, Arctostaphylos glandulosa, Quercus
berberidifolia, and Eriodictyon crassifolium. Benches and mesic
slopes with dense woodland of Quercus agrifolia.
Shrub, flowers white. Local along trail in saddle area, from mixed
population with C. crassifolius on open slope burned in 1989 fire.
