Ceanothus amer'ioanus L.
Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, about 2Vi miles southeast of
Santiago. Loose, sandy soil in an oak savanna community. Common
associated species include: Lithospermum caroliniense, Lupinus peren-
nis, Solidago nemoralis, Petalostemum villosum, Calamovilfa longifolia.
