Several days later the beach will be sp- rinkled with these charming plants resembl- ing miniature Christmas wreaths. The stems are red and the berries green, the little plant lying flat on the sand, and anchored in place by a long central stem. When pricked, it exudes a milky juice, typical of the Spurge family. kS 1968 03349988
