JJ, 3.8 km E of Gotham. 43°13”09”N, 90°14’35”W. alt. 245 m. T 9 N; R 2 E; NEttNWV* Sect. 34.. Shrub 6 m. tall, 8.5 cm. in diameter, 20 years old, this about the maximum size here where apparently a clone is being overgrown by Juniperus virginiana, Celtis occidentalis, Morns alba, near base of S-facing Wisconsin River valley bluff. Voucher for wood specimens at Kw, Lw, MADw, MEXUw, RSAw. Compare habit with a cl^ne of much shorter shrubs in open grassy area nearby, collected as no. 63025, 27 June 2016. Coll.: M. H.
