GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Kako River vicinity, above Kako Village,
near Camp 3, ca. 22 air km east of Tulameng summit (summit 1534m, N
5°33'27.1", W60o59'34.7"). 521m. 5°34,25.1,S 60°47'47.3"W.
Brocchina and Stegolepis savanna with drier shrub islands around rock
outcrops,. Herb forming clumps. Rosettes of dense leaves, hirsute.
Inflorescence scapose, more than 1 per rosette, up to 10cm tall.
Involucral bracts cream-brown Adjacent to savanna collected on July 1,
but separated by a creek and scrub buffer. Silica sample.
