Rock, sandy floodplain forest between Cruson
Slough and the Wisconsin River. Varying from
open, dry and pure sand with prairie, to the
more dominant floodplain forest of Betula nigra,
Ulmus americana, Acer saccharinum. Fraxinus
pennsvlvanica var. pennsvlvanica.
T 8 N; R 2 E; SE£ sect. 3.
Herbs in prairie openings or partial shade.
Stems watery, brittle, the sap mucilaginous.
Flowers blue. Voucher for bulk medicinal
screening by Pfizer: 43743a PX (Nee-389).
