Varying from open, dry and pure sand with prairie, to the more dominant floodplain forest of Betula nigra, Ulmus americana, Acer saccharinum. Fraxinus pennsvlvanica var. pennsvlvanica. T 8 N; R 2 E; SE£ sect. 3. Herbs in prairie openings or partial shade. Stems watery, brittle, the sap mucilaginous. Flowers blue. Voucher for bulk medicinal screening by Pfizer: 43743a PX (Nee-389).
