Puerto San Antonio, 0.9 km SE of Piriâpolis (jet. rd
to Punta del Este). Hill of „Brazilian Massive“ rock
above beach on Rio Plata. Baccharis, Colletia,
Sapindaceae, Eryngium, cacti. 5 m
Locally abundant. Plants to 0.5 m tall, herbaceous
perennials, perhaps rhighomatous. If not, they grow
very close together with intertwined roots. Corollas
4+1, yellow (not orange-yellow). Most plants in fruit;
only several in flower.
