Habitat
Occurring towards the edge of a forest. Rare.

Description
Tree 30 m tall x 45 cm DBH. Outer bark grayish, inner bark brownish with deep maroonish-red color. Flowering above the canopy. Bracts red. Flowers maroon. Additional flowers collected from forest floor from a second individual.
