Rocky riverside with rapids, riverine
vegetation, cerrado with sandstone outcrops
and some grassland areas subject to flooding
but dry at time of collection.

'his plant growing by river
Shrub to 1.5 m. Leaves coriaceous mid-
green above, paler beneath. Calyx pale
green. Jorolla white, dark, dull yellow
on outer surface of limb exposed in bud,
with rather acrid scent.
