Habitat
Subtropical, semideciduous "Chaco" forest, 4-8 m. tall, dense, spiny, briefly inundated in rainy season, very flat. In shrubs. With Bumelia obtusifolia, Capparis tweediana, Reichenbachia hirsuta. The soil silty and fine sandy.

Description
Vine to 4 m. Corolla white with very faint violet at tip of lobes. Fruit bright purple. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile, Fruit.
