NE of airport in Vallegrande. Along bad dirt road down into
the Río San Bias valley.
18°26’33”S, 64°03’12”W. alt. 1795 m.
Top of ridge, former dry forest with Aspidosperma
quebracho-bianco, Prosopis kuntzei, Harrisia tetracantha,
Acacia aroma, Opuntia spp., now with scattered trees and
shrubs. With many cattle, near a corral and a water pond,
sandy soil from crumbly sandstone.
Herb with long rhizomes. Corolla white in bud, violet in
anthesis, darker after wilting.
