Depto. Santa Cruz, Prov. Sara, 7.4 km. (by air) NNW of
Colpa Planta de Gas, 12 km (by air) NW of bridge over Rio
Pirai at La Belgica.
17°27’44”S, 63°17’33”W. alt. 317 m.
Flat, low, but with only a tiny intermittent channel for
waterway, grassland savanna and pasture, sandy and silty
soil. On mud or sand around heavily grazed artificial
waterhole, now with some water but was probably dry much
of the dry season.
Dense, tough clumps of many stems, forming tussocks
above the soil level, only a few in each clump with
flowering stems.
