Perennial herb; some roots thickened; raceme with short glandular hairs and long straight eglandular hairs 1.75 mm long; hypanthium -1.75 mm tall, hooked bristles ascending; growing in association with Geranium maculatum, Hypoxis hirsuta, Smilax glauca, Juncus tenuis, Thelypteris noveboracensis, Osmunda cinnamomea, Clethra alnifolia and.Arisa.ema triphyllum.
