Township, hamlet of Montauk, Montauk Point State Park on mucky
shore of coastal salt pond. (41.07455 °N, 7i.8639i°W).
Perennial graminoid; capsules 4 mm long; leaves fleshy with
“rubbery” feel, some anthocyanic coloration; stems terete and
somewhat farinose; rhizomatous; seeds 0.5-0.7 mm long, no tails;
in association with Panicum virgatum, Schoenoplectus pungens,
Ludwigia alternifolia, Pontederia cordata, and Potamogeton
spirillus. Very rare.
