Restinga -- forest on high terrace, level terrain, reportedly regenerating from dominant arborescent bamboo die-back 2-3 years ago. Frequent.

Description
Tree. Tree 30 m x 80 cm, outer bark scalloped, lenticellate. Fruits still green when they fall from tree, operculum separating easily after fruit dries. One of dominant trees in terra firme forests of this region. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
