PLANTS OF CALIFORNIA DISTRIBUTED BY THE HERBARIUM OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY. 244. Iiintun micranthum Gray. • Middle Fork of the Feather River, Plumas County, in the Transition Zone at an altitude of 1340 m. Growing on a south slope well above the river in loose soil in open spaces between trees and shrubs, the most conspicuous of which are Pinus ponderosa, Pseudotsuga taxifolia, Quercus EeUoggw, and Ceanothus iniegerrvmus. Inner sepals remotely glandular on margins. Petals white, often faintly tinged with rose, notched at summit; claw «lightly roughened but not appendaged. Ovary with 3 cells each parfly divided into 2 compartments, marked externally by six green longitudinal lines. Collected by H. M. Hall (no. &362), July 20, 1912.
