Sharsm. and H. californicum (Benth.) Small
Petals white flushed with pink, spreading; styles and car-
pels 2.. Habit and vigor of H. californicum (4706), but
branching and flowers of H. didymocarpum (4705), the
three taxa forming large, discreet but adjacent colonies.
On serpentine; open grassy slope, Pinus sabiniana belt, alt-
itude ca. 1400 feet. Big Canyon Creek 9.3 miles south of
Howard Springs on road to Middletown,
Lake County.
