Data from 32 specimens are as followsr-
Plants submerged except floating ends of leaves
and younger parts of inflorescence. Phyllodia
to 40 cm, long and 12 mm» wide; the floating
ends not widened or more frequently broadened
(to 51 mm. wide and 64 mm. long), the base
tapering to rounded, truncate, or cordate (in
broader leaves,) the apex obtuse to rounded,
Petals white, broad leaves floating, narrow
leaves submerged, plants rooted in bottom
of fresh water lake at north end of Sapelo
Island.
