Calamus sp.
Stems solitary, 8 m long, 2 cm diameter. Sheaths green without any spines; flagella present;
petioles 35 cm long; rachises 1 m long; pinnae 19 per side of rachis, irregularly arranged, silvery-
brown abaxially; apical pinnae not much reduced. Sterile plant, similar to C. symphysipus but
sheath without spines and apical pinnae not much reduced.
