NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN PALMS OF SULAWESI Indonesia. Sulawesi Tengah: Sigi Regency, near Lawua, just above Haluapu River, Lore Lindu National Park, forest on steep slope near river, 0r36.574’S, 120°03.827’E, 600 m elevation, 2 December 2017. Calamus (C. inops1?) Stems solitary, 35 m long, 4 cm diameter. Sheaths non-spiny, brown tomentose initially; petioles 21 cm long; rachises 150 cm long; pinnae 60 per side of rachis, regularly arranged, with brown spinules on veins ad- and abaxially; distal pinnae reduced. Inflorescences staminate, 57 cm long, inserted near sheath apex, branched to 3 orders. A. Henderson, Moh.
