Calamus sp. tohiti WWWPK BOTANICAL GARDEN ?HIM 03696105 Stems solitary, 10 m long, 4.7 cm diameter. Sheaths green with brown tomentum, densely covered with black, narrow, horizontal spines; ocreas well-developed but falling early; petioles 4 cm long; rachises 273 cm long; pinnae 44 per side of rachis, regularly arranged, pendulous, with 3 rows of spinules adaxially, without vestigial spinules abaxially; proximal pinnae reduced; distal pinnae reduced; cirri spines regularly arranged, stout. Inflorescences staminate, branched to 3 orders, 231 cm long; rachis bracts ‘palustris-like’ with long, narrow lobe. A.
