Calamus sp.

Stems solitary, 15 m long, 4.5 cm diameter. Sheaths green, densely covered with black spines;
petioles 2 cm long; rachises 273 cm long; pinnae 45 per side of rachis, regularly arranged,
pendulous, with 3 rows of spinules adaxially; proximal pinnae reduced; distal pinnae not reduced
nor vestigial; cirri spines regularly arranged, stout. Inflorescences pistillate, branched to 2 orders;
rachis bracts ‘palustris-like’ with long, narrow lobe.
