Calamus sp.
Stems solitary, 5 m long, 2.2 cm diameter. Sheaths brown-gray tomentose initially, spines
scattered, reduced to ‘bumps’; petioles 8 cm long; rachises 139.5 cm long; pinnae 11 per side of
rachis, irregularly arranged, without spinules; distal pinnae reduced; cirri spines more or less
regular. Inflorescences staminate, 244 cm long, inserted below knees, branched to 3 orders.
