Calamus posoanus Rustiami
Stems solitary, 30 m long, 3 cm diameter. Sheaths densely covered with rings of brown, needle-
like spines, denser and erect at sheath apex; petioles 24-27 cm long; rachises 78 cm long; pinnae
9 per side of rachis, elliptic, distantly but regularly arranged, without spinules on veins, with
numerous vestigial spinules all over abaxial surface; apical pair of pinnae not reduced; cirri
spines regularly arranged. Inflorescences pistillate, 159 cm long, erect; rachis bracts brown,
overlapping, without spines.
