Stems solitary, 10 m long, 1.2 cm diameter. Sheaths with many, needle-like spines; petioles 10
cm long; rachises 54 cm long; pinnae 5 per side of rachis, elliptic, distantly but almost regularly
arranged; cirri spines almost regular. Sterile plant.
