Stems solitary, 15 m long, 3 cm diameter. Sheaths densely spiny with brown, needle-like spines
in rows; petioles 28 cm long; rachises 148 cm long; pinnae 10 per side of rachis, regularly
arranged, not reduced distally, with numerous vestigial spinules all over abaxial surface; cirri
spines regularly arranged. Inflorescences staminate, 194 cm long.
