Calamus posoanus Rustiami
Stems apparently solitary, at least 25 m long, 2.2 cm diameter. Sheaths densely spiny with close,
partial rows of horizontal, brown, needle-like spines; petioles 17 cm long; rachises 90 cm long;
pinnae 8-9 per side of rachis, regularly and distantly arranged along the rachis, not spinulose, not
reduced at rachis apex; cirri spines in regular groups. Inflorescences 160 cm long, inserted near
knee, ending in a short, straight structure 10 cm long; rachis bracts without spines, brown
tomentose; fruits globose, white.
