i NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN PALMS OF SULAWESI Indonesia. Sulawesi Tengah: Sigi Regency, trail from Gimpu to Moa, near Lariang River, Lore Lindu National Park, disturbed area near river, 01o40.712’S, 120°03.228’E, 449 m elevation, 1 December 2017. Calamus sp. Stems clustered, arising from a dense clump of stems, longest stems to 20 m long, 1.2 cm diameter. Leaf sheaths near base of long stems with few, stout, straight spines, near top of stems with dense, straight, needle-like spines; petioles 0 cm (short stems have longer petioles); rachises 61 cm long; pinnae 7 per side of rachis, arranged in remote pairs; distal pinnae not reduced nor vestigial; cirri spines totally irregular. Inflorescences pistillate, 218 cm long; partial york botanical garden inflorescences distantly arranged, with a thinner section of rachis between partials, just distal to the branch point. 03698061 A.
