Calamus (C. inops?)
Stems solitary, 25 m long; 3 cm diameter. Sheaths green, without spines (sparsely spiny at base
of stem); petioles 19.5 cm long; rachises 170 cm long; pinnae 61 per side of rachis, regularly
arranged, pendulous, with ruffled margins, with long, yellow spinules on veins ad- and abaxially;
distal pinnae reduced and vestigial; cirri spines regularly arranged. Inflorescences 52 cm long,
inserted just below knee, branched to 2 orders; fruits white.
