Sulawesi Tengah: Poso Regency, road from Tambing Lake to Sedoa, undisturbed forest on steep slope, 01°19.977’S, 120°19.538’E, 1567 m elevation. 16 November 2017. Calamus didymocarpus Warburg ex Beccari lauro pai Stems solitary, 30 m long, 3 cm diameter. Sheaths with dense, black, horizontal, triangular spines; knees not spiny; petioles absent; rachises 170 cm long; pinnae 25 per side of rachis, regularly arranged, somewhat leathery, with numerous vestigial spinules abaxially, distal ones much reduced. Infructescences 390 cm long; rachillae elongate, with paired pistillate flowers, ending in a spine-like bracteole; fruits whitish. A.
