Calamus didymocarpus Warburg ex Beccari	lauro pai
Stems solitary, 15 m long, 3 cm diameter. Sheaths mottled, with dense, flat, triangular spines;
knees spiny; ocreas fringed; petioles 11 cm long; rachises 149 cm long; pinnae 26 per side of
rachis, regularly arranged, somewhat stiff and leathery, spinulose on mid-vein adaxially only,
with numerous vestigial spinules all over abaxial surface; distal pinnae reduced and vestigial.
Inflorescence staminate, 104 cm long.
